Businesses succeed or fail due to the effectiveness of executive teams. We work with our clients to build teams that are capable of meeting the business, organizational and operational challenges at hand. We help teams define business and operational priorities, clarify the team’s role and responsibilities, strengthen teamwork and interpersonal relationships, ensure implementation and accountability, improve team problem solving and decision making, and instill the most effective structures and methods for team meetings.

Most often, we begin team development with a comprehensive assessment of the team's effectiveness.  We evaluate team performance on factors that are critical to business success. Team members typically meet individually with a Vine Street consultant and also complete our proprietary Team Effectiveness Survey. Additional measures are possible, such as focus groups, interviews with people outside the team, and observation of team meetings by a Vine Street business psychologist.

Feedback is provided about team strengths, barriers to effectiveness, and development recommendations, accompanied by perspective on the keys to team success. In most cases, the team is invited to work as a group to examine feedback, identify development priorities, and assign specific accountabilities to spur team development.
